Bankruptcy
Law School:
Capital University Law School
What kind of issues do you find most interesting in your practice committee?
Standing up and defining our new committee, it’s mission and goals: not just for
military based practitioners but other practitioners who want to serve veterans and
their families.
What would your practice committee want other attorneys to understand about your
specialty?
As a new committee, there are opportunities to lead and manage projects.
Join us!
How has being a part of your committee made a difference in your own practice?
As former president of the Downtown Residents Council, member of the Cincinnati
Jaycees and church volunteer, it has rekindled my desire to give back to the community
professionally.
What is the most important project for your practice committee this year?
Teaming
with the CBA and Volunteer Lawyers Project to match vets with attorneys in various
practice areas.
When I’m not in the office, I’m. . .
often sitting at Aglamesis Brothers in Oakley think-
ing about my bankruptcy practice and upcoming drill weekend.
Favorite quote that motivates me is. . .
“I’ve had smarter people around me all my life,
but I haven’t run into one yet that can outwork me. And if they can’t outwork you, then
smarts aren’t going to do them much good. That’s just the way it is. And if you believe
that and live by it, you’d be surprised at how much fun you can have.” Woody Hayes,
Navy Veteran
The movie or book that I always recommend is. . .
The Razor’s Edge by W. Somerset
Maugham (1946 and 1984 novel and film)
Because. . .
The plot begins with a young veteran’s search for the meaning of life.
