Doug Dennis Steps in as 125th President
of the Cincinnati Bar Association
or Doug Dennis, becoming an attorney was a second ca-
reer — one of the many things that make him stand out in
the legal profession. His larger than life presence is certain-
ly another. He is fun, full of ideas, and if you’re not careful, he’ll
photo bomb you.
Education and Career
Before becoming an attorney, Dennis went to West Point in
New York, rose through the ranks to captain, and toured overseas
in the Army. While stationed in Germany, Dennis met his wife,
Kate. They married and moved to Cincinnati for Kate’s work in
1992. This is when he decided to switch gears with his career and
started law school at University of Cincinnati. His first job out of
school was with the First District Court of Appeals. After that, he
worked at Dinsmore before landing at Frost Brown Todd (FBT)
in 1999 where he continues his career today. Dennis is a member
in the litigation department of FBT and focuses his work on prod-
ucts liability, ERISA litigation, and appellate advocacy. A seasoned
