Schoening represents private and public employers including many non-profits in all facets of employment law. Her employment law practice includes advising clients on compliance with various employment laws and providing in-house training on such issues. Schoening has experience working with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, federal and state Departments of Labor, Department of Justice, Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, as well as litigating cases in federal and state courts. Her practice includes numerous health care clients. She also represents families in adoption proceedings. She assists clients with collection work and does some general civil litigation. Her past practice included limited immigration work.
She has been with DBL Law since 1993 and is a partner. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home and is Chair for 2010-2011, St. Charles Care Center, Chase Alumni Association and St. Veronica Performing Arts Boosters. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Welcome House and Franklin College Alumni Board. She participated in the Northern Kentucky Leadership Class of 2005, the Cincinnati Bar Association CALL for 2007 and SOAR for 2008-2009.

Hourly rate is $270 per hour.
