Began legal career assisting Judge S. Arthur Spiegel in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio as law clerk for two years. After spending a couple of additional years doing general litigation, came to Frost Brown Todd in 1995 to concentrate in employment law. Now spends all of professional time in employment law. Devotes significant portion of practice to representing employers and employees in non-competes, trade secrets, employment contracts, and duty of loyalty issues. Also represents wide variety of employers in wrongful discharge, discrimination and harassment cases.
Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience
Has served as an arbitrator through the American Arbitration Association and in attorney-fee disputes through the Cincinnati Bar Association. Has mediated a number of cases (primarily employment cases), appointed by the United States Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Has been an advocate in a large number of cases using ADR.
$430 per hour; both study and hearing time charged at hourly rate. Travel expenses charged for out-of-town hearings. If the hearing is cancelled or postponed the day of the hearing, then seven hours of time will be charged.
