The cornerstone of the Cincinnati Bar Association is its dozens of committees, sections, practice and interest groups . Open to all members of the Bar, these groups focus on a particular area of the law, demographic or interests and in the case of appointed committees carry out specific tasks on behalf of the Bar.

Select Committees

The appointed committees of the CBA carry out many of the goals and administrative functions of the Bar. Members are appointed by the Board of Trustees. To join an Appointed Committee, please contact CBA Membership

Professional, Practice & Interest Groups

These committees hold regular meetings to discuss current issues and developments in a field of practice or serve the unique needs of a broader audience. Meetings may consist of a guest speaker, a special CLE presentation or case law updates. These committees also plan and present CLE seminars.

Young Lawyers Section

The Cincinnati Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section (YLS) is open to every member of the Cincinnati Bar Association who is under age 36 or who is in his or her first five years of practice, regardless of age.

The purpose of the CBA Young Lawyers Section is to stimulate the interest of young lawyers and new members of the Cincinnati Bar Association in the objectives of the Association, to carry on activities which will be of assistance to young lawyers, to educate and inform the legal community and to provide community service opportunities for its members.
