BLAC/CBA Forward Together Celebration Dinner
Sponsored the 2007 Celebration Dinner honoring the 20th Anniversary of the SWEL program.

CALL Class Ten Service Project Truancy Mediation Program
Provided mediators to seven Cincinnati Public Schools for a forum allowing teachers, parents and truant students to come together to find a mutually beneficial solution to specific truancy problems.

CBA Cincinnati Bar Center Building Fund
Provided the largest financial contribution to the center, allowing area attorneys to have a place to attend CLE seminars at below-market cost.

CBA Communications Advisory Committee
Enquirer/Post Newspaper in Education Law Day Guide 2007
Taught 19,748 Tri-state students in Butler, Warren, Dearborn, Hamilton, Clermont, Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties “Liberty Under the Law: Separate Branches, Balanced Powers.”

CBA Law Day
Gave 250 students and members of the community greater understanding and respect for the law and legal system. Provided free CLE credits to area attorneys.

CBA Street Law
Provided textbooks and training by UC Law Students to high school students at Norwood and Withrow high schools.

CBA Mock Trial
Provided 400 students from 22 area high schools with “hands-on” learning about the judicial system using direct participation from area judges and attorneys. Our teams took First, Second and Third Place in the state.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
Mayerson Center for Safe & Healthy Children Provided 2,000 children and their families with educational brochures on preventing child abuse.

John P. Kiely Professionalism Award
Recognized Bea V. Larsen as a trial lawyer for possessing outstanding trial skills and demonstrating the highest degree of professionalism, civility and ethical standards in her day-to-day practice.

William A. McClain Scholarship
Awarded Janaya L. Trotter this scholarship which selects an African-American law student based on merit and financial need as an appropriate tribute to Judge McClain.

Michael H. Neumark CALL Scholarships
Provided two attorneys with merit scholarships to attend the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers.

Pro Kids CASA University
Addressed the needs of over 500 children in the foster care by providing specially trained CASAs.

Rape Crisis & Abuse Center of Hamilton County
Court And Law Enforcement Advocacy
Helped 450 women access the legal process and protective entities available to them.

Salmon P. Chase College of Law
Ohio Justice & Policy Center Indigent Defense Clinic Provided hands-on training in indigent defense for law students and enhanced the operation of the Public Defender's Office.

University Hospital “Out of the Crossfire”
Partnered with the Trauma Surgeons for a three-year project in partnership to address gunshot violence in Cincinnati.

Volunteer Lawyers for the Poor Foundation
2008 Volunteer Lawyers Project Recruitment Campaign
Provided 10,000 brochures to recruit volunteers to provide legal assistance to the poor.

John W. Warrington Community Service Award
Recognized Robert E. Rich and John Slauson as CBA attorney members who have performed extraordinary volunteer service to the community. Gifts were made to Lighthouse Youth Services and The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati in their honor.
