Estate Planning & Probate

Purpose

The Estate Planning and Probate Committee works to enhance the substantive legal and practical knowledge and the collegiality of estate planning legal professionals. The committee hosts regular meetings as well as CLE seminars on topics critical to those practicing in the field.

A Message from the Chair

Julia E. Tarvin

I am pleased to welcome you to the Estate Planning and Probate Committee.  The Committee is dedicated to providing continuing education to its members in an atmosphere that promotes collegial exchanges of insights based on our collective experience. In this regard, we have monthly meetings at which a speaker or panel presents on a topic, with time reserved for your questions and input. These meetings are typically held at noon on the third Tuesday of each month at the CBA offices and last one hour.  In addition, the Committee organizes an annual basic planning institute and an advanced planning institute. These events have proved to be very valuable to our members.  Please contact me with any suggestions.  I welcome your input on all of these projects of the Committee and look forward to seeing you.
