Juvenile Law

Purpose

The Juvenile Law group promotes the care, protection and mental and physical development of children involved with the Hamilton County Juvenile Court through quality legal representation. The group strives to ensure outcomes that are in the best interest in children by providing support to attorneys practicing juvenile law through legal updates, continuing legal education, relevant and current resources, and a forum to connect with other legal professionals in the field.

A Message from the Chair

“We hope that you will join us for Juvenile Law Practice Group meetings. The meetings are typically held quarterly on Wednesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 at the Hamilton County Juvenile Court, 800 Broadway. Feel free to bring your lunch for a casual meeting with your colleagues and various speakers. At every meeting, we receive updates from the Hamilton County Juvenile Court. This past year, the practice group heard from organizations such as Easter Seals, Elementz, Judge Melissa Powers, and the Education Advocacy Group at the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati. We continue to work on a schedule to address the topics suggested by group members. Even if juvenile law is not your primary area of interest, please feel free to attend the meetings to learn more about this exciting area of the law or how it might affect your current practice. We welcome suggestions!"
