Juvenile Law

Purpose

The Juvenile Law group promotes the care, protection and mental and physical development of children involved with the Hamilton County Juvenile Court through quality legal representation. The group strives to ensure outcomes that are in the best interest in children by providing support to attorneys practicing juvenile law through legal updates, continuing legal education, relevant and current resources, and a forum to connect with other legal professionals in the field.

A Message from the Vice Chair

“We hope that you will join us for Juvenile Court Committee meetings.  The meetings are typically held quarterly on Wednesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 at 800 Broadway.  Feel free to bring your lunch for a casual meeting with your colleagues and various speakers.  Last year the committee heard from Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge Tom Lipps and Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge John Williams as well as numerous Hamilton County Juvenile Court Magistrates.  The committee also hosted speakers from the Cincinnati Police Department, the Mayerson Center, ProKids and the Hamilton County Public Defenders’s Office.  We are working on the meeting schedule for next year to address the topics suggested by committee members.  Even if juvenile law is not your primary area of interest, please feel free to attend the meetings to learn more about this exciting area of the law or how it might affect your current practice. We welcome suggestions!”
