Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts

Purpose

The Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts group collaborates with ArtsWave to provide support to the tri-state arts community through presentations and workshops by CBA members.   Volunteers for LFA will be matched with requests for assistance from these local arts organizations.  This support of local arts organizations will work to enhance their understanding of the law, provide collaboration and advice to support board growth and development and facilitate their compliance with related legal matters.   LFA members meet quarterly to determine specific projects and initiatives.

A Message from the Chair

Mary K. Newman

Welcome to the Cincinnati Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts group webpage.  The Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts group consists of dedicated attorneys committed to supporting Cincinnati’s vibrant arts scene by providing pro bono legal services to low-income artists and arts organizations.  The Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts group hosts an annual CLE seminar on different topics of interest to our volunteer lawyers with an eye towards educating our volunteers to be able to meet the arts-specific needs of our clients.  Please feel free to join us for any of our meetings, or join our mailing list to be notified when a potential new client needs legal assistance.
