Potter Stewart Inn of Court April meeting (5 images)

More than 100 attorneys, including 23 judges, participated in the April meeting of the Potter Stewart Inn of Court. Judges rotated between 14 different tables during the 90-minute “speed dating” style program to discuss with lawyers issues relating to case management, discovery, trial practice and professionalism.

Past presidents of the CBA enjoyed lunch and reminiscing about their days at the helm of the Bar Association at the recent Past Presidents Luncheon. Held at the Cincinnati Bar Center, the luncheon was also attended by current CBA leaders.

Members of Class XVI of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL) attended the latest programming session April 3. Held at the Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park Pavilion, participants explored ethics issues.

Lawyers enjoyed "Art After Dark" recently at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The CLE program explored legal issues in the art world, while also allowed participants to enjoy the museum's wonderful art exhibits.

Almost 100 participants attended the Women Lawyers Committee's recent CLE, “The XX Factor: Perspectives from Women in the Legal Profession,” held at the CBA. Panelists shared their insights on the history of women in the profession, overcoming challenges in the practice of law, and non-traditional career paths.

Mock Trial Regional Round (12 images)

Friday night at the CBA we hosted a small Regional Mock Trial Competition in which three teams advanced to the State Competition: Mother of Mercy, Oak Hills and Summit Country Day. Also advancing from Hamilton County through the Clermont County Regional Competition are Sycamore and Indian Hill. Congratulations to all of the teams on a job well done and thank you again to all of the volunteer judges who made this and the district competition possible!

Thanks to the support of the Cincinnati Bar Foundation, the interactive workshop Flying Solo attracted dozens of attorneys today. There were lots of questions and good conversation as participants considered the challenges and rewards of "hanging out your own shingle."

Hamilton County Mock Trial (24 images)

Dozens of teams gave their courthouse prep a trial at the Cincinnati Bar's annual competition.

Women Lawyers at Music Hall (3 images)

Historic Music Hall was the setting for Women Lawyers Committee members and their families who gathered for the Cincinnati Pops Lollipop Concert. More than 60 gathered for a doughnut recetpion in the Critics Room before the concert of great stories like Saint-Saëns’ "Carnival of the Animals" and Stravinsky’s "Firebird." They group even got to hear from international superstar pianist Lang Lang.

Palomino’s was the setting for the sold out YLS Holiday Social. YLS Board members, CBA Board members, attorneys and law students enjoyed the amazing view of Fountain Square, great company and a souvenir YLS travel cup.
