This CLE will explore the critical legal, ethical, and practical implications of generative AI in law. It will examine what lawyers need to know about generative AI tools, analyze terms of service in use agreements, discuss access to justice opportunities, and review recent trends in law firms and in-house legal teams regarding AI adoption.

As generative AI tools become more prominent, understanding their legal implications is essential for lawyers across all practices. This CLE provides a comprehensive overview of what lawyers need to know about the use and risks of generative AI. Key topics include interpreting terms of service in use agreements, leveraging AI for pro bono work to enhance access to justice, and examining how law firms and in-house legal teams are integrating AI. We’ll review developments from the past two years to gain insights into the potential direction of legal AI and technology in the near future.
