More about Legal Aid/VLP
Cofounded by Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati and The Cincinnati Bar Association in 1982, The Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) recruits, trains and supports volunteer attorneys who provide access to justice for low-income individuals who do not have the resources to pay for legal representation. Our volunteer attorneys provide full representation to resolve a wide variety of issues including divorce and custody disputes, bankruptcy, eviction and foreclosure defense, consumer law, and tax disputes. The VLP also operates clinics that are opportunities for volunteer attorneys to provide advice and counsel or limited representation in the areas of divorce, custody and companionship, wills and advanced planning, and citizenship.
