More about Pro Kids

The goal of a Youth Court is to use positive peer pressure to ensure that young people who have committed minor offenses pay the community back and receive the help they need to avoid further involvement in the justice system. A Judge will preside over two of the four hearings on each hearing date.

The Hamilton County Youth Court is intended to serve as: (1) an early-intervention program for young people charged with low-level offenses; (2) a leadership development program for the youths who serve as jurors; (3) an oral advocacy and professional development opportunity for law students; and (4) an opportunity to integrate a variety of groups (juvenile court, local volunteer attorneys, law students, and high school students) to advocate for positive change in our legal system.
