Please join the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Practice Group in-person at the CBA or virtually via Zoom for a discussion on TikTok privacy cases with guest speaker, Andrew Teel, federal judicial clerk for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. We will discuss key issues and implications of State of Indiana v. TikTok Inc., a lawsuit alleging that TikTok’s data handling practices violate Indiana laws protecting consumers. This suit, which is expected to kick off a spate of state-filed suits against the social media giant, presents a timely and interesting study of how cybersecurity and data privacy can be at the heart of consumer protection, national security, and other important legal and societal issues.
