Law Day 2024: Voices of Democracy
We've all heard that one vote can make a difference and that every vote matters in a democracy--but what does this really look like in practice? How do we use our voices to access power and create change in our communities? And how do we do democracy outside of presidential elections? Join the Women Lawyers Section for a special Law Day event exploring the theme Voices of Democracy! The Cincinnati Bar Association is honored to welcome panelists from amazing community partners:
- Elizabeth Brown, League of Women Voters of Greater Cincinnati: The ins and outs of participation in our local democracy
- Rajani Menon, The Women's Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation: Appointed, the Appointed Civil Leadership Academy, and ways to build our power and amplify our voices
Wednesday, May 1, 2024, 12:00-1:00 pm
This is a hybrid event, both in person at the Cincinnati Bar Association and online through Zoom. We'll end with a Q&A session, and students and community members are invited to submit questions in advance at community@cincybar.org.
