We invite you to apply for the Lawyers Connecting Beyond the Law (LCBL) program. LCBL is an enriching, culturally responsive program bringing together lawyers of many diverse backgrounds every other month for five (5) sessions in small learning groups. Participants engage in virtual small group sessions and casual get-to- gethers to share new and diverse experiences throughout the year.
Open to all members of the Cincinnati Bar Association and local law students who have and aspire to have the ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures.
2022 Topic
This year we will learn from experts in the field of Critical Race Theory (CRT) to gain a greater understanding of what CRT is and what it is not. Each session will focus on the principles of CRT and its impact in areas such as education, the criminal justice system, and the economy. Participants will have an opportunity to learn from experts and each other as all voices will be heard during our sessions.
LCBL will run virtually from January 2022 – September 2022. Participants will to take part in a series of small group learning sessions during the months of January, March, May, July, and September. Off months are reserved for casual get-togethers and opportunities to share experiences.
This interactive program is presented free of charge. Over 250 lawyers have partic- ipated in this culturally diverse program since 2018. Join us for this transformative opportunity. Apply by January 10, 2022. Space is limited.
