ABOTA is a national organization dedicated to the pres- ervation and promotion of the right to trial by jury in civil cases as provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA is also dedicated to safeguarding the indepen- dence of the judiciary. Membership comprises over 7,300 of the top civil trial lawyers in the country, evenly balanced between plaintiff and defense counsel. ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. The Cincinnati Chapter of ABOTA was established in 1989 and is proud to have counted among its members some of the best civil trial lawyers in the City.
