The CBA is
The mission of the Community Service Committee is to
engage organizations and individuals in the Greater Cincinnati
Community in order to (1) help those that are in need, and
(2) provide additional assistance for those that are already
working to make an impact.
The Community Service Committee continually seeks to find
areas around the Cincinnati community that would benefit
from the support the Cincinnati Bar Association is able to
provide. We also seek recommendations for organizations
that may not be on the committee’s radar that need
assistance.
We are looking for individuals that share these similar sentiments and are ready to
contribute their time to ensure this mission is met. Join the Community Service
Committee so we are able to make the biggest impact possible on the Cincinnati
community.

ADAM TURER
Chairman of Saturday Hoops
In 2014, after reading about Saturday Hoops in the CBA Report,
Adam Turer reached out to become involved. With a strong
passion for mentoring and coaching, he saw the program as a
way to serve local youth. This organization stood out to him because
it helped young people realize their potential and build confidence as they become
our future leaders.
Five years later, he was asked to serve as volunteer chairman as founder Kent
Wellington stepped down. During his time as chairman the program has grown to
being operational in five neighborhoods and open year-round. Turer built partner-
ships with the Boys & Girls Clubs, Bigger Than Sneakers, and La Soupe. His law firm,
RKPT, supported his leadership, making it possible for him to balance his legal career
with community service.
Over the years, he’s witnessed the program’s impact by attending graduations and
watching former members return as volunteers.
Volunteers are invited to stay for
lunch with the kids until 12:30 pm
