RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new or revise existing company policies and position on legal issues
• Research, anticipate and advise company in connection with legal risks in business process and decision making
• Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
• Keep up with current changes on all relevant areas of employment regulation and federal, state, and local laws
• Prepare, review, and defend company employment claims, developing position statements and responses to demands
• Consult with management, human resourc- es, and operations to evaluate risk/liability and determine mitigation plans
• Develop the organization’s policies on in- dustry-specific issues, corporate governance, and regulatory affair
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
• At least 5 years of proven experience in employment law/regulatory compliance
• Excellent negotiation and communications skills
• Technical writing capability related to em- ployment policy and practice
• Administrative and managerial skills
• Analytical ability and strong attention to
detail
• Current license to practice law in the state
of Ohio
• Proven arbitration and mediation skills • A juris doctorate (JD)
