Simpson appointed Director of Diversity, Equity,
Inclusion, and Belonging. As Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Simpson will work closely with Ulmer’s Chief Diversity Officer to prioritize diverse initiatives within the firm through the planning of ongoing programming, a focus on diverse recruitment and retention, and by actively championing the firm’s values and culture both internally and externally. She currently serves as Board Chair of the Seven Hills Neighborhood Houses in Cincinnati and as a Board Member for MORTAR, a business development nonprofit founded in Cincinnati to help train budding entrepre- neurs to build and establish small businesses. Simpson received the 2022 Black Lawyer Making an Impact Award from the Cincin- nati Bar Association, the Woman of Distinction Award from Girl Scouts of Greater Southwestern Ohio in 2020, and the Theodore M. Berry Award from Cincinnati NAACP in 2019.

   employers in a wide array of labor and employ- ment matters governed by federal and state laws and regulations. His experience includes defending employers against whistleblower claims, employment discrimination claims, unfair labor practice charges and representa- tion hearings before the National Labor Relations Board, grievances, and other related matters. He also advises clients on avoiding liability and complying with federal and state regulations governing employment. While attending law school, Nenni was outside arti- cles editor for the University of Dayton Law Review. He also served as a coach and partici- pant on the University of Dayton Moot Court Team. He earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law and his B.A. from Loyola University – Chicago.

Meyer is the firm’s authority and leader on environmental matters. He is a frequent speaker and presenter in his areas of expertise, and his broad range of experience allows him to engineer practical solutions that are efficient, effective, and neatly aligned with the needs of the businesses he serves. Meyer practices in Ulmer’s Cincinnati office.
