Lawyers Connecting Beyond the Law is an initiative of the Cincinnati Bar Association
that seeks to make our legal community more welcoming to lawyers from all backgrounds,
reflecting a mosaic of perspectives, through the development of personal relationships.
Since 2018, this program has engaged local lawyers and law students in both large and small
learning groups.
Participants build relationships and examine the challenges facing our community
directly and collaboratively. LCBL fosters mutual understanding across a broad spectrum
of viewpoints, cultivating a more connected and reflective professional community. This
year, the program deepens its commitment to a perspective-rich and civically engaged legal
community by exploring the concept of “transformative dialogue.”
Participants will have opportunities to take part in large, facilitated working groups
and small discussion groups. Participants will be assigned to small groups, which will meet
throughout the year. Participants are expected to participate in both large and small group
sessions. LCBL is open to all CBA members.

presented by the
CBA Women Lawyers Section
We all have the choice to do it alone. Making the choice to collaborate
with other women in law may take immediate sacrifices, but in the
long run we have so much to learn, gain, and enjoy through choosing
each other. We all have something to offer someone that we never
considered. That offer saves another lawyer time, energy, and
resources both professionally and personally. Come collaborate with
us and leave knowing that cultivating community will build efficiency
and success.
