General Counsel. At GE Aviation, Weigel led a global team of 300 full and part time compli- ance professionals with responsibility for 90+ facilities globally, while also overseeing export control, privacy, government audit and risk assessment. Previously, he served as General Counsel for GE’s Military Systems & Govern- ment Business, with a focus on mitigation of regulatory risk, acquisition strategy and govern- ment relations. He joined GE Aviation in 2010 as Chief Global Litigation Counsel, overseeing all global litigation and sensitive investigative matters. He also served as International General Counsel in London, having responsibility for global legal operations outside North and South America. Weigel is Past President of the Cincin- nati Bar Association. He is also Founder, President & Board Chair of the Pro Bono Part- nership of Ohio, a nonprofit providing free legal services to nonprofit social service organiza- tions. Prior to his GE Aviation roles, Weigel was a litigation partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease and at BakerHostetler.
