Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts

Purpose

The Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts group members provide support to the Tri-State arts community through presentations, workshops and trainings. In addition, committee members who are willing to support the arts community through providing pro bono legal services to low-income arts and arts organizations receive regular communications about such pro bono opportunities. Our volunteers have helped numerous members of the arts community with corporate formation matters, trademark and intellectual property matters, and contract negotiation.

Arts Organizations

If you are an arts organization seeking pro bono legal support, please complete the online application, or download the pdf application and return it to our offices. Upon receiving your completed application and determining that your legal matter is arts-related, we will submit it to our VLA members for referral to an attorney. Please allow 7 to 14 business days for your application to be reviewed and assigned to an attorney. We will make every effort to locate an attorney for you; however, we cannot guarantee that a pro bono attorney will be available at the time of your request.
