Your privacy is important to us.  This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect about you and what will happen to that information.  Questions regarding this statement should be directed to info@cincybar.org.

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Cincinnati Bar Association website.  On some pages, you can order products, make requests, and register to receive materials.   The Cincinnati Bar Association collects information from you when you register on our site, place an order or fill out a form.  When ordering or registering on our site, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, fax number, attorney registration number or credit card number.

Any of the information we collect may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To complete your request or order.
  • To personalize your experience and  respond to your individual needs.
  • To improve our website, based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
  • To improve customer service.  Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.

To ensure the security and confidentiality of the information you provide through this website, we offer the use of a secure server. All credit and personal information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized  with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a written request that credibly shows error, or, if you are a CBA member, by logging into the Members Only area of the website.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

 

DO WE USE COOKIES?

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember information.

LAWYER REFERRAL SERVICE AND LAWYER FINDER

When you make contact with the CBA Lawyer Referral Service, you may be asked to provide your name, address, telephone number, email address and a brief description of your legal problem. This information provided is held in the strictest confidence.  The information that you provide will be reviewed by LRS staff for the purposes of responding to your inquiry.

In addition, in the course of finding an attorney who can help you, information about your legal situation will be shared with an attorney so that he or she can assess his or her ability to assist you with your legal matter.  Your identity may be disclosed for purposes of screening for conflicts of interest. 

It is the policy of LRS to respect the privacy of its clients.
