Human Rights Campaign

HRC is a national LGBTQ+ advocacy organization that works to advance equality and respect for LGBTQ+ individuals. They provide resources, engage in advocacy, and support research on LGBTQ+ issues.


Lambda Legal

A national civil rights organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBTQ+) people, and people living with HIV/AIDS through litigation, education, and policy work. 


National Center for Lesbian Rights

NCLR works to advance the civil rights of the LGBT community through advocacy, legal action, and public policy. They also provide legal aid and services to LGBTQ+ individuals in need.


Transgender Law Center

TLC focuses on the legal and policy issues affecting transgender people, working to ensure their rights and well-being. They provide legal information, resources, and advocacy on issues such as discrimination, employment, and healthcare.

Children’s Law Center

Children's Law Center, Inc. (CLC) is a nonprofit legal service center that protects the rights of children and youth — so they can grow up in safe, healthy ways. Their services include direct legal assistance, policy reform, community education, and information & referral.


Equality Ohio

Identifies and transforms systems and institutions so that LGBTQ+ Ohioans can fully access legal and lived equality. They are working to pass a statewide nondiscrimination bill and are supporting municipalities as they seek to add nondiscrimination protections at the local level. Their Legal Clinic offers many free legal services, like consumer law, family law, civil rights, administrative help and more.

Equitas Health partners with TransOhio to offer free legal clinics for the trans+ community on name and gender marker changes. At these monthly virtual clinics, a trained attorney will guide you through the process of changing your name and gender marker in the state of Ohio. The organization also provides detailed do-it-yourself gender marker & name change guides.


Hamilton County Help Center

The Help Center provides people with education, information, and limited legal advice to access our courts, pertaining to Municipal Court, the Court of Common Pleas, the First District Court of Appeals, and Juvenile Court in Hamilton County, Ohio. The Help Center is a partnership of the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Housing Opportunities Made Equal

HOME’s mission is to eliminate unlawful discrimination in housing in the Greater Cincinnati area. HOME advocates and enforces housing regulations for all protected classes and promotes stable, integrated communities.


Lawyer Referral Service

The Cincinnati Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) is a public service that connects people with lawyers in the Greater Cincinnati area. It helps individuals find qualified attorneys who can assist with their legal needs


Legal Aid of Greater Cincinnati

Provides free legal assistance to low-income individuals, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, by addressing various legal issues like family law, housing, employment, and education. They help individuals navigate legal problems that can impact economic and family stability, such as domestic violence, eviction, and discrimination. 


Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center

Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center’s (OCVJC) provides no cost legal representation to enforce crime victims’ rights and victims’ rights training to justice system officials and allied professionals in all of Ohio’s 88 counties.


TransOhio

TransOhio is dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of trans, nonbinary, intersex, and gender nonconforming people in Ohio. Their services include free Ohio Name Change Legal Clinics.


UC Legal Access Clinic

The Legal Access Clinic (TLAC) is designed to address the access to justice gap for low- and middle-income people in and around Cincinnati while providing real life client experiences for law students.


Women Helping Women

WHW helps survivors of gender-based violence with the paperwork needed to obtain protection orders and stands by them during court proceedings, providing essential support throughout the process. Advocates also work directly with Police Departments, the local Prosecutor’s Office and the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati to provide support, crisis intervention and advocacy to survivors during various process phases in these systems.
